About Me
My career spans industry, academia, and government. I was VP of Product for Predikto, a startup successfully acquired by United Technologies Corporation; led the development of the big data vertical at Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI); served as an Assistant Professor in Medical Physics at the University of Western Australia; worked as an Assistant Program Manager for the National Science Foundation during my time as a AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow; and designed microprocessor logic at IBM.
I earned her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University. I enjoy jobs with overly long titles, developing big-picture strategies, translating technical ideas for non-scientists, and performing science stand-up comedy
I have spent over 20 years bridging the gap between disparate stakeholders: translating research into action for the organizations, policymakers, and communities who need it most. Most recently, she served as Executive Director of Science for Georgia (2019–2026), where she grew the organization from a $0 budget to over $200K, helped form two statewide coalitions (GCEPP and G4DCR), and led town halls and convenings across the state. Working to bring scientists and communities into direct, productive conversation about the issues affecting their lives.
Track Record
Organizational Growth
Grew Science for Georgia from a $0 budget (2019) to over $200K; staff from 0 to 4 plus multiple interns per semester.
Science Communication Training
Conceived, designed, and implemented curriculum for SciComm Academy. Over 800+ students trained to date.
Community engagement
Led town halls and community forums across Georgia, including the South DeKalb Environmental Justice listening campaign. The past eighteen months have been a continual road show supporting communities with education and solutions around the data center invasion of Georgia.
Environmental Justice & Climate Protection Conference
Co-founded and lead the annual Environmental Justice & Climate Protection Conference (2022) with partners Dogwood Alliance, Emory CHARTER, the Center for Black Women's Wellness, and Center for Sustainable Communities — convening community leaders, officials, academics, and industry experts, and sparking a legislative working group on environmental justice.
Consensus building, education, and policy creation
Via this process: built the case for Evidence-Based Literacy Instruction with the Georgia General Assembly — contributing to HR 650 (study committee), HB 538 (K-3 literacy instruction), and SB 211 (literacy council).

In-Depth Analysis
Co-authored an independent report with Greenlink Analytics (commissioned by the Southern Environmental Law Center) finding Southeastern utilities' data center load growth projections are likely over inflated (Dec 2025).
